SAALUMARADA THIMMAKKA Saalumarada Thimmakka was born in Tumakuru District of Karnataka in India. For the couple of chikkarangayya and vijayamma-labourer.She also worked as a casual labourer in a nearby quarry in her young .she married to Bikkalu Chikkayya who was also a labourer. But the Couple we're childless. Bikkalu Chikkayya died in 1991. Thimmakka received no formal education. She was planted 385 banyan trees onward a four- kilometres of highway between Hulikal and kudur .she was also planted more than 8000 other trees in 80 years, with the support of her husband.
